POLITICAL CLUB OF WOMEN 50/50 informs about the project „Gender Equality Prize” which will be offered to political parties and public personalities.
By giving this Prize we want to increase the interest of political parties and public figures in Moldova for gender equality and facilitate their path to the Gender Equality Prize of the Council of Europe. “Gender Equality Prize” will be awarded every year starting with 2010, in recognition of achievements and successes of political parties and public figures in the field of gender equality and women’s promotion in decision-making.
The Prize will be granted in accordance with Gender Equality Prize Regulation. Any organization, public institution or individual is entitled to nominate political parties and public figures to participate in the competition for the designation of winner of the „Prize for Gender Equality”. Also, any political party may submit its own application to the competition.
Each participant will fill in an application form made available by the organizers, who will describe how the undertaken actions, initiatives or programs significantly improved the involvement and participation of women in politics/public life.
The winner of the „Gender Equality Prize” will be determined by an independent and impartial jury, composed of three persons, two experts in the field of gender equality and a public figure. The composition of jury will be determined by the organizers of the contest through a raffle.
The trophy „Gender Equality Prize”, which will be given to the winner, is a statue (see picture) designed by Mr. Iurie Ambros, who is graphic designer, creative director of the „AMBROS” Agency.
Contest rules and the application form for the competition „Gender Equality Prize” will be published on the website of "Political Club of Women – 50/50
